A small earthquake rattled the Kodiak community late yesterday morning. Around 10 a.m. a magnitude 3.8 earthquake was felt throughout town and nearby villages. According to the Alaska Earthquake Information Center, the quake’s epicenter was 19 miles south of Kodiak at a depth of 22 miles. Shortly after, the Alaska Tsunami Warning center in Palmer posted a bulletin on its website saying that no tsunami was generated.
